Jombang Regent's Regulation Towards Health Protocol Guidelines at Islamic Boarding Schools During the Covid-19 Pandemic From The Islamic Law Perspective

Abstract: This article discusses the Jombang regent's regulation on health protocols in Islamic boarding schools during the covid-19 pandemic, which is then analyzed with Islamic law. This study is literature. Data is collected through documents, books and journals, and then the collected data were analyzed under Islamic law qualitatively. The study results concluded that the Jombang regent's regulations on health protocol guidelines at Islamic boarding schools in Jombang have an important role in handling Covid-19. The regulation is contained in Jombang Regent Regulation Number 34 of 2020 concerning Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Pandemic Control in Jombang Regency and Jombang Regent Regulation Number 57 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Discipline and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols as an Effort to Prevent and Control Corona Virus Disease 2019. With this regulation, Islamic boarding schools have clear regulations supporting Covid-19 handlers with the provisions of health protocols set by the Jombang Regent. From the perspective of Islamic law, the Jombang regent's regulation contains benefits to protect the reason and the soul. They are protecting reason because students and teachers in Islamic boarding schools can still carry out learning activities during the Covid-19 period. They are implementing health protocols to protect the soul and health of the community, students and teachers from contracting the Covid-19 virus.
