Chitosan is commonly produced from the waste of the fishing industry, such as shrimp, crab, or lobster shells with a process that first extracts the chitin and then goes to deacetylation. This research aims to isolate and characterize chitosan derived from shrimp to examine its physicochemical properties using various methods. The moisture content was determined by drying the sample in an oven (13.1%), indicating a relatively high moisture level compared to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) scale (12%), while the ash content was obtained through combustion (8.68%). FTIR analysis identified characteristic peaks at 3500-3000 cm^-1 (OH group), 1600-1500 cm^-1 (amide C=O group), ±1600 cm^-1 (N-H group), and ±1000 cm^-1 (C-N group), which are typical features of chitosan's structure. The degree of deacetylation, indicating a reduction in acetylation groups, was calculated through acid-base titration (20.196%), confirming the formation of chitosan. The result of the deacetylation degree is way below the SNI standard (>75%). Information about these chitosan characteristics highlights its potential applications in the food, pharmaceutical, and agricultural industries.
Soghi Tankoiko, Yanuar Bakhrul Alam, Uno Sheva Matlubah, Irul Hidayati, Funsu Andiarna, Eva Agustina Copyright (c) 2023 Soghi Tankoiko, Yanuar Bakhrul Alam, Uno Sheva Matlubah, Irul Hidayati, Funsu Andiarna, Eva Agustina https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://proceedings.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/1408 Sun, 22 Oct 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Effort To Prevent Post Partum Depression : Scoping Review https://proceedings.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/1410
This study aims to review the research results on efforts taken to avoid the occurrence of postpartum depression. Even in women, blueberries only lower adenosine levels without affecting weight, glucose and triglyceride levels. Research has also shown that adding blueberries to the diet of healthy. older adults can improve cognitive function, especially in challenging cognitive tests. In addition, blueberries have also been shown to increase factors related to bone formation. Blueberries have a variety of health benefits, including controlling obesity, improving cognition, reducing the risk of gestational diabetes, and protecting the bones and heart from oxidative damage. Consuming blueberries can be a great addition to a healthy and colorful diet.
Tiara Putri Ferrynda, Salwa Maziatun Najah, Yuliana Safitri, Esti Novi Andyarini Copyright (c) 2023 Tiara Putri Ferrynda, Salwa Maziatun Najah, Yuliana Safitri, Esti Novi Andyarini https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://proceedings.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/1415 Mon, 23 Oct 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Effect of Different Solvents in the Extraction Process of Kelor Moringa oleifera) Leaves on Bioactive Resources and Phenolic Acid Content https://proceedings.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/1416
Moringa (Moringa oleifera) plants are included in the category of medicinal plants because they contain various bioactive compounds that have the potential to prevent disease. Bioactive compounds can be extracted by maceration method using an appropriate solvent. The determination of the solvent is very influential on the extraction process because it is based on the similarity of the polarity value with the compound being dissolved. This study aims to determine the effect of different solvents on bioactive compounds and phenolic content in moringa leaf extract. The methods used were maceration with 96% ethanol and ethyl acetate solvents, phytochemical screening to determine the class of compounds, UV-Vis spectrophotometry to determine phenolic content, and FTIR to identify compounds. The results of phytochemical screening showed that ethanol extracts of moringa leaves are known to contain flavonoids, saponins, phenolic compounds, and triterpenoids. The results of the phenolic content test showed that the total phenolic content of the ethanol extract of moringa leaves was 34 mg GAE/g, while in the ethyl acetate extract of moringa leaves it was 2.216 mg GAE/g. The results of compound identification with FTIR showed that both moringa leaf extracts contained C-H (2850-2970 cm-1) and C=O (1690-1760 cm-1) functional groups. In addition, the ethanol extract also contained O-H functional group (3000-3500 cm-1).
Fadila Ayu Puspitasari, Noviana Budianti Kartikasari, Sylvana Mutiyastika, Risa Purnamasari, Nova Lusiana, Eva Agustina Copyright (c) 2023 Fadila Ayu Puspitasari, Noviana Budianti Kartikasari, Sylvana Mutiyastika, Risa Purnamasari, Nova Lusiana, Eva Agustina https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://proceedings.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/1416 Mon, 23 Oct 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Readiness of Peer Counsellors to Provide Video-based and Text-based Online Counselling https://proceedings.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/1417
Peer counsellors have an important role in the prevention and treatment of mental health problems. Following the rapid development of technology, counselling conducted by peer counsellors can be carried out through online counselling with video and text based. The study aimed to determine the readiness of peer counsellors in conducting online counselling through video and text media. There were 11 participants who were given intensive training on the basics of counselling and roleplay in counselling with video and text. Pretest and posttest were conducted to determine the readiness in conducting online counselling. The results of data analysis by t-test showed that the training provided significant changes in the readiness of peer counsellors in conducting counselling with video-based (Sig = 0.01 < 0.05), while the training provided did not provide significant changes in the readiness of peer counsellors in conducting online counselling text-based (Sig = 0.095 > 0.05). This shows that the training can influence the readiness of peer counsellors in conducting counselling via video. On the other hand, the training did not influence the readiness of peer counsellors in conducting counselling text-based. These two gases cause climate change and pose threats to human health, such as poisoning, and cancer. Sansevieria sp. is a plant that can absorb 107 pollutants in the air such as carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, and trichlorethylene. Based on this potential, researchers innovate to make filters based on sansevieria. This study examines the effectiveness of filtering CO and HC gases after installing filters in motorized vehicles. This research method uses a quantitative descriptive with an experimental approach. The independent variable is the composition of the number of filters and gels, while the dependent variable is the effectiveness of reducing HC and CO levels. Filter testing using a gas analyzer with a motorcycle engine speed from 1500 RPM to 9000 RPM. The results of this study showed that CO and HC emissions after being treated in sample A from 1500 RPM to 9000 RPM showed a reduction of 67% CO and 25% HC. Meanwhile, in sample B, the decrease in CO was 80% and HC was 51%. The ability of the sansevieria filter to reduce CO and HC gas emissions can be a climate change prevention effort, because it can reduce the potential for GHG due to motorized vehicles
Tri Sunan Agung, Belinda Safa Salsabila Zuhri, Dedy Suprayogi Copyright (c) 2023 Tri Sunan Agung, Belinda Safa Salsabila Zuhri, Dedy Suprayogi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://proceedings.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/1418 Mon, 23 Oct 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Muslim Religiosity and Pro-Environmental Behavior: Literature Review from a Psychological Perspective https://proceedings.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/1419
Religiosity is among the most important cultural forces and significantly influences Muslim behavior. In fact, during that period, regardless of the COVID-19 news appearing all the time in all media, Indonesian behaviour did not show any concern about that highly infectious virus. They continued to express normal activities despite the news being everywhere. It seemed the news exposure was meaningless for them. Therefore, this research aims to determine whether exposure to the media about COVID-19 also defines people's risk perception toward the COVID-19 virus during the early stage of the pandemic. This study involved three variables: the type of media used to update COVID-19 news (X1), the frequency of exposure to COVID-19 news (X2) and the public's risk perception of the COVID-19 virus (Y). The 1468 research subjects were Indonesian people who used the media to look out for the development of the pandemic. The data collection tool is the risk perception scale developed by Ropeik (2002). Data was collected online using the Googleform application, which spread to 23 provinces. The study's results were, first, descriptively, during the early days of the pandemic, the Indonesian people's risk perception of COVID-19 was already high and evenly distributed in all 23 provinces despite their behaviour. Second, social media is the most widely accessed type of media. However, the types of media used to update COVID-19 news significantly correlate with risk perception. Third, the frequency of exposure to COVID-19 news in the media and the public's risk perception of the COVID-19 virus are significantly correlated. Meaning that the higher the media exposure, the higher the risk perception of COVID-19 would be - and vice versa. The results will be discussed further.
Abdul Haris Fitri Anto, Nuke Martiarini, Luthfi Fathan Dahriyanto Copyright (c) 2023 Abdul Haris Fitri Anto, Nuke Martiarini, Luthfi Fathan Dahriyanto https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://proceedings.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/1427 Tue, 31 Oct 2023 05:33:49 +0000 The Relationship between Watching Mukbang Video with Dietary Behavior and Nutrition Status in Teens https://proceedings.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/1428
The trend of the mukbang has a distinct attraction for those who watch it and thus encourage one to eat.
